I need a hi-fi. Currently I have nothing to play vinyl on, no separate components and beyond a tiny (but lovely) JVC mini system and some plug in speakers for the iPod, nothing to properly enjoy music on.
I’m not exactly an audiophile but also don’t want to make stupid decisions.
So, when we finally are able to build our house, hopefully in the next 12 months, I want to plan a hi-fi setup that lets me listen to vinyl, CD and digital recordings (networked), decent sound imaging, possibly multi-room and handle dolby sound for movies. I’m not necessarily expecting one system to do all this, but it would be kinda cool if it did.
Things have moved on a bit since I last looked at this about 20 years ago, so anyone who can give clear, simple advice on things like:
would probably get a chocolate fish for decent advice that doesn’t kill my bank account.
